  • What is the top speed and what are the ranges in various conditions?

The Anthem's top speed is up to 84 mph, depending on a number of factors.

City UDDS (Urban Dynamometer Driving Schedule) range is estimated to be 75 miles. More on this: The following estimate aims to provide a practical assessment of the riding range expected in urban settings characterized by frequent stops and starts, aligning with the SAE J2982 "City Test" duty cycle. However, the actual range may vary due to specific riding conditions and personal habits.

Highway range at a constant speed of 55 mph is estimated to be 46 miles. More on this: Based on a frontal area of 5.75 square feet and a coefficient of drag (CD) of 0.7 along with a 150 lbs. rider and 10 lbs. of gear, the estimate for highway operation at 55 mph provides a rough idea of the expected riding range. The actual range will vary depending on real-time riding conditions and individual habits.

Combined range at speeds up to 55 mph is estimated to be 57 miles. More on this: This estimate offers a reasonable expectation of the riding range during operation that includes a combination of 50% "stop and go" and 50% steady state highway at 55 mph. It utilizes the "highway commuting range"" calculation specified by SAE J2982. The actual range will vary depending on real-time riding conditions and individual habits.

Highway range at a constant speed of 70 mph is 35 miles. More on this: Based on a frontal area of 5.75 square feet and a coefficient of drag (CD) of 0.7 along with a 150 lbs. rider and 10 lbs. of gear, the estimate for highway operation at 70 mph provides a reasonable expectation of the riding range during steady-state conditions. However, the actual range will vary depending on real-time riding conditions and individual habits.

Combined range at speeds up to 70 mph is estimated to be 48 miles. More on this: This estimate offers a reasonable expectation of the riding range during operation that includes a combination of 50% "stop and go" and 50% steady state highway at 70 mph. It utilizes the "highway commuting range" calculation specified by SAE J2982. However, the actual range will vary depending on real-time riding conditions and individual habits.

The Anthem features a 4.3 kWh 72V (nominal) lithium-ion battery, it is 85V when fully charged.

  • How do I charge the battery?

The battery pack can be charged on the bike or removed and charged separately. A 110 V supply or 220 V supply can be used, with 110V being typical for standard US household outlets. The included 3.3 kW charger is integrated into the battery pack so you won’t have to lug around a 10 lb. charger; only a charging cord is needed.

  • How long does it take to charge the battery?

    220 V supply at up to 40 amps – 80% in 1.25 hours, 100% in 2 hours

    110 V supply at up to 16 amps – 80% in 2.5 hours, 100% in 3.5 hours

  • Can the Anthem be charged at level 2 charging stations?

Contact us to place an order for Ryvid charging accessories.

  • How much does it cost to charge the battery?

At an average residential electricity cost of $.17 cents/kWh, it costs just around .75 cents for a full charge.

  • How much does the battery weigh?

The Anthem battery assembly with integrated 3.3 kw on board charger, weighs approximately 87 lbs. Lifting of the battery isn’t required to install or uninstall since it can be lowered to the front wheel before pivoting off.

  • Will additional batteries be available for purchase?

Additional 4.3kWh Battery Packs are available now at a price of $3,995 each. Contact us to place an order.

  • How do I know the battery is secure while riding, especially since it’s removable?

The battery mounting mechanism and structure have dual redundant safety latches that ensures the battery stays on the bike through rigorous use cases including abuse. The bottom of the battery is protected by a hard anodized, aluminum skid plate. Finally, the removal process involves an over-center latch on top of the battery, as well as a secondary safety latch. This ensures that you won’t ever have to worry about the battery while riding. In the event that the battery isn't fully latched, there is a safety switch that will not allow the Anthem to have an active throttle.

  • How many charge cycles will a battery last?

The Anthem 4.3 kWh battery will last approximately 1,200 charge cycles before the battery is reduced to 80% capacity at full charge. At an average of 50 miles per cycle, this equates to 60k miles down to 80% capacity.

  • What are the battery’s operating temperatures?

Charging operating temperature: -4 to 131°F.

Discharging operating temperature: -22 to 131°F.

  • What's the best way to take care of my Anthem battery?

Battery conditioning and balance is of the upmost importance. Before riding, it is necessary to fully charge your battery on receipt of your Anthem, or after any period of storage longer than 15 days. A full charge is 85.3+ or more volts indicated on the display.

During shipping or storage of 15 days or longer, slight imbalance can develop between the cells of the battery pack. While charging, when the battery is in this state, the charger fan may turn off, and the display may indicate “100%” before the battery has completely charged and balanced. This is because the battery is entering a balancing phase of the charge, topping off each individual cell and ensuring battery health.

Before riding, please charge your Anthem for a full 4+ hours (110V) or 2.5 hours (220V) and an indicated 85.3+ volts.

    • For the first 5 cycles when new.
    • At least one cycle after storing the bike for 15 days or more.

Additionally, it is best to avoid deep discharge during these initial 5 charges, so charging when the bike is at 25% State of Charge (SOC), or more is the best practice during these conditioning cycles. This is also recommended for the first charge cycle following a period of storage.

Following this guidance, and the rest of the battery health tips in the owner's manual, will ensure the best lifespan of your battery and avoid errors in the SOC indication that could lead to inaccurate range or remaining energy estimates.
